The Porto Collection was inspired by our Founder’s love for the city of Porto, Portugal and the unique history of Rabelo boats transporting Port wine barrels, from the Douro Valley region in northern Portugal, to the coastal city of Porto for export. Much like the rich color pallet found in Port wine production, the Porto Classic’s leather mimics the brownish color that results from aging the wine in wooden Oak barrels.
Porto is not only the heart of Portugal’s rich winemaking tradition but also the home of Riomar Shoes’ European handmade origins. Known for its unparalleled craftsmanship, the region’s artisans blend centuries-old techniques with a commitment to quality, creating shoes that exemplify luxury and durability.
